Why this is different from a typical software product

Most community data platforms are shared, multi tenant products. Many organisations use the same underlying database, the vendor's cloud account holds everyone's information, and data sovereignty is implemented as a set of permission and sharing settings inside that shared system.

Our approach is structurally different. Every system we build runs on its own dedicated infrastructure, typically an AWS account that belongs to your organisation, not a shared environment we operate on behalf of many clients. There is no shared database sitting underneath multiple organisations' information, and no third party vendor holding a copy of your data as part of their own product.

This means your organisation genuinely owns and controls the infrastructure your data lives on, not just the settings that govern how it is shared inside someone else's platform. Access keys, backups and administrative control sit with you. If you ever want to move the system, export everything, or hand it to a different provider, you can, because it is built entirely on open, widely supported tools rather than a closed proprietary product.

What this looks like in practice
